Luxury interiors company, OTI, has become the latest business to open its doors at Elder Way.
OTI Interiors has opened its first showroom at Unit 1B Elder Way, transforming the ground floor of the split-level unit into an elegant kitchen display space showcasing the firm’s craftsmanship and design expertise.
The business, owned by entrepreneur Gavin Grainger, who also owns neighbouring restaurant Bottle & Thyme and bar Elder, has ambitious plans. The upper level will be developed into a series of luxury interior displays including a second kitchen featuring an AGA, a utility room with a concealed bar area, a bespoke bedroom complete with fitted wardrobes, dressing room and en-suite bathroom connected via a Jack and Jill door.

Every element on display will be handcrafted by OTI’s team of skilled craftspeople at the company’s workshop in Chesterfield.
The showroom sits between two of Elder Way’s most distinctive independent businesses – Bottle & Thyme and Feather & Fern – creating what Gavin believes is the perfect location for the brand. Tenants at Elder Way also include HotPod Yoga and a Premier Inn hotel
He said: “The demographic this quarter of town now attracts really fits with OTI Interiors. It’s exactly where the brand sits.
“We are primarily appointment-based, but we’ve had a number of walk-ins since we opened. Elder Way is an excellent location for us.”
OTI Interiors produces a limited number of commissions each year, typically fewer than 25, enabling the company to maintain its focus on quality craftsmanship and attention to detail.
The new Elder Way showroom represents the company’s first dedicated customer-facing space away from its Chesterfield workshop where all furniture is designed and built.
Alongside its showroom displays, the new unit features a consultation area where clients can discuss projects. Visitors can also browse an extensive range of materials and finishes, including wall finishes, worktops and cabinetry samples.
The space is also set to become a hub for collaborative events and demonstrations involving local businesses, including estate agents, florists and chefs.

OTI Interiors is the latest addition to Elder Way, which forms part of the wider regeneration of Chesterfield’s Northern Gateway. The area has benefited from substantial public and private sector investment, including the Northern Gateway Enterprise Centre, Saltergate multi-storey car park and, most recently, the opening of a £1.4 million mydentist practice.
Just four street-level commercial units now remain available at Elder Way. The A3/A4 units range from 3,196 sq ft to 4,704 sq ft and offer prospective occupiers a prominent town centre location alongside a blank canvas for bespoke fit-outs.
